Everything You Need to Work Legally

Your bartending course includes official New York State A.T.A.P. certification, which most Nassau County employers require for liability insurance purposes. You’ll also complete B.A.R. training and Alcohol Beverage Control Law education.

We offer flexible scheduling with both intensive 5-day full-time programs and condensed 1-day options for busy schedules. Both programs provide the same certification and job placement support.

Bethpage area bars and restaurants specifically value our graduates because they understand local regulations and customer expectations. You’re not just certified – you’re prepared for the unique demands of Long Island’s hospitality scene.

Do I need experience to enroll in bartending courses in Bethpage?

No previous bartending experience is required. Our Bethpage bartending course is designed for complete beginners as well as those looking to formalize their skills. You’ll start with basic techniques and gradually build up to advanced mixology. Our instructors have over 30 years of combined experience and know exactly how to teach someone who’s never been behind a bar. Many of our most successful graduates started with zero experience. What matters is your willingness to learn and practice the techniques we teach during the hands-on training sessions.
We offer two main options: a comprehensive 5-day full-time program and an intensive 1-day course. Both provide the same official certification and job placement assistance. The 5-day program gives you more practice time and includes lifetime refresher courses. The 1-day option is perfect if you have scheduling constraints but still want professional training and certification. Most students prefer the 5-day program because it builds more confidence through repetition. You’ll practice the same techniques multiple times until they become second nature.
You’ll receive official New York State A.T.A.P. certification, which is what most employers in Nassau County require. This covers responsible alcohol service and legal compliance. Your training also includes Alcohol Beverage Control Law education and B.A.R. training. These certifications show employers you understand both the technical and legal aspects of bartending. All certifications are recognized throughout New York State. Many of our Bethpage graduates use these credentials to work at establishments across Long Island and even Manhattan.
Yes, job placement assistance is included at no extra cost. We maintain relationships with bars and restaurants throughout Nassau County and the greater Bethpage area. You’ll get access to our 24/7 alumni job portal where local employers post openings specifically for our graduates. Our placement team also provides resume assistance and interview preparation. Many students receive job offers before they even complete the course. Local employers know our graduates come prepared with practical skills and proper certification.
Our training uses real bar equipment in actual bar environments. You’ll practice with professional soda guns, glassware, and cash registers – not watch videos or read about them. Online courses can’t teach you proper pouring techniques or how to handle multiple orders during busy periods. You need physical practice to build the muscle memory and confidence employers expect. When you complete our hands-on program, you’ll step into your first job already familiar with professional equipment and real bar scenarios. Online training simply can’t replicate this experience.
You must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol in New York State, so that’s our minimum age requirement for enrollment. There’s no upper age limit – we’ve trained successful bartenders of all ages. You’ll also need to pass a background check for your A.T.A.P. certification. Having a felony conviction doesn’t automatically disqualify you, but you may need a Certificate of Relief from Disabilities. Most of our Bethpage students are between 21 and 35, but we’ve had successful graduates in their 50s and 60s who wanted to start new careers or supplement their income.
