Our mission is to train the hospitality industry in safe and responsible beverage alcohol service. The programs provide servers of the hospitality industry with the knowledge to help protect themselves from illegal alcohol service and to promote guests’ enjoyment, while reconfirming industry standard preparation of cocktails.
How do I get my bartending license?
What’s A.T.A.P. certification?
A.T.A.P. is the New York State Liquor Authority’s Alcohol Training Awareness Program, approved by the New York State Liquor Authority.
These programs help licensees to comply with the Alcohol Beverage Control Laws, and emphasize how to stop underage drinking and sales to intoxicated persons. Our goal is to provide a safe environment at licensed establishments as well as preserve the health, safety and welfare of the citizens in our communities. — NYSLA.
A.T.A.P certification is a part of our B.A.R. Training, included in all of our programs.
Do you help staff bartenders?
Yes! We help staff our graduates at appropriate locations based on knowledge and experience. More on staffing.
Does my certification expire?
New York States’s ATAP certification does expire after 3 years, but you are welcome to take our refresher courses for free for life with purchase of the Full Time Program. We also offer a special certification renewal price exclusive to our graduates.
When can I start bartending?
Our Consolidated Program will get you started in the quickest amount of time. Our Full Time Program takes 2 weeks and prepares you to start bartending as soon as you’re finished—even providing you with 2 guest bartending gigs and assistance in job placement!
What if I move from New York?
We’re not just providing you with a New York bartending certification, we’re giving you lifetime skills transferable to bars anywhere in the world.
